Improve Your Game With Chiropractic

Whether you enjoy your daily runs, intense CrossFit workouts or competing in various sports, chiropractic care can help you experience optimal function. As a competitive powerlifter, I find it fulfilling to help athletes of all levels up their game.

As an undergrad, I was able to do research in cardiovascular and musculoskeletal cellular physiology labs focused on human performance so I’m intensely familiar with the demands placed on athletes.

In addition to earning a Doctor of Chiropractic, I also have the following credentials:

  • Olympic lifting coach with USA Weightlifting (USAW)
  • Master’s in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition
  • Coach with USA Powerlifting (USAPL)
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA®)

My educational background and experience have allowed me to help athletes optimize their training and performance, prevent injury and recover. It also has allowed me to educate them by helping them sift through the overwhelming amount of information (and even more misinformation) that’s on the Internet regarding these subjects.

Nutrition is another area I address with athletes. Though we don’t offer nutrition plans in the practice, I can educate athletes on how to best nutritionally prepare for various competitions and help connect them with more focused nutrition coaching when needed.

Setting the Body up for Athletic Success

Chiropractic helps to improve the structure of the spine, so it’s better equipped to evenly distribute the high-intensity stresses and loads of training and competition. If the spine’s aligned and we remove stress from the nervous system the body can function neurologically and structurally in a better way. I show athletes how to train safely and how to position themselves during different movements.

Helping All Types of Athletes

Athletes of all ages and levels are welcome at Denver Upper Cervical Chiropractic. I’ve cared for Colorado Avalanche players, college football players right before entering the NFL Draft, an All-American shot put thrower, both a hammer thrower and discus thrower that competed in the Olympic trials, Highlands Games competitors, and national champion powerlifters.
